Altarnun Launceston North Cornwall

Altarnun is a small quaint village that nestles in a sheltered valley just off the A30 between Bodmin and Launceston. It's extremely picturesque with a stream running through the middle. The village is dominated by the tower of the 15th-century church, which was known as 'The Cathedral of the Moor'. The granite used to build the church was un-quarried stone that had been found lying on the moors, hence its name moorstone.
