Harlyn Bay Beach

Padstow North Cornwall
Harlyn Bay beach is to the east of Trevose Head a few miles from Padstow in north Cornwall. A large sandy crescent beach, Harlyn is fairly sheltered by the surrounding landscape with dunes running along the back end of the beach. A popular destination for families and surfers, Harlyn Bay beach is recommended in the Marine Conservation Good Beach Guide for its excellent water quality.

Harlyn Bay is in an area of outstanding natural beauty with lovely walks over the coast path to Trevose Head and Constantine beach, there's lots of beautiful countryside to explore in the area with far reaching sea views to Newquay and beyond on a clear day. There's a meandering stream running across Harlyn beach and out to sea, perfect for kids to play in on a hot summers day.

Storms exposed bronze age remains in the cliffs thought to be up to 4000 years old with archaeologists heralding the area as one of the most important prehistoric buriel sites in Cornwall. This lays next to an Iron age cemetery dating back 2000 - 2500 years.
