Kilkhampton

Bude North Cornwall
Kilkhampton is a small pretty village that sits astride the A39 (Atlantic Highway), it stretches back from the edge of the Tamar lakes to the beaches of Sandymouth and Duckpool. There are several burial grounds, dated to the Bronze Age, located around the parish that suggests this area has been occupied by man for many centuries. The church was rebuilt in the late 15th Century but has a magnificent south doorway that was constructed in about 1130AD and is worth a visit.
