Kynance Cove Beach

The Lizard West Cornwall
This is a very popular beach due to its ruggedness. Brilliant turquoise water, white sand, islands and caves in this very pretty cove that's been painted and photographed numerous times. This beach is only accessible at low tide, at high tide the beach is largely reclaimed by the sea. It's a designated 'Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty' and is a well known favourite for both locals and visitors to Cornwall. Owned by the National Trust since 1999, Kynance Cove has a cafe and a large car park about a half a mile from the beach. At low tide, you can walk out to the offshore rock, Asparagus Island, where the delicacy once grew wild.
