Minions is the highest village in Cornwall, high up on Bodmin Moor and not far from Liskeard. The village has restaurants, cafes and a great pub popular with both locals and tourists. The surrounding area offers a wealth of archaeological interest from early Bronze Age onwards. A short distance away are the 'The Hurlers', three Bronze Age stone circles dating from around 1500BC, and the Cheesewring, a natural formation of balancing rocks, believed to have been formed by flaciation and erosion over thousands of years. From the Cheesewring there are breathtaking views across the Cornish countryside and as far as Devon on a clear day. Activities offered in the area are shooting, fishing, pony trekking and of course walking.
