Polkerris Beach

Par South Cornwall
The breathtakingly beautiful Polkerris beach is located at the bottom of a narrow, winding lane on the east side of St Austell Bay, with close proximity to the picturesque villages of Fowey and Charlestown in south east Cornwall.

Polkerris beach is a large arc of soft golden sand at low tide, nestled below the cliffs in an area of outstanding natural beauty. The beach is sheltered by a traditional breakwater which provides protection for the 12 moored boats to launch and land.

Polkerris is a tranquil beauty spot with lots of amenities for the whole family to enjoy including a traditional pub, beach cafe, watersports centre, moorings and boat storage next to the beach. The watersports centre offers a range of activity courses from kayaking and paddle boarding to windsurfing and power boating, and when the water is calm it's perfect for swimming.

Accessibility
Easy, there's a slipway leading on to the beach.

Parking

There's limited customer parking at the pub which is directly next to the beach. Or a much larger car park is signposted on the lane access and it's about a 5 minute walk down the hill to the beach.
