Porthgwarra Beach

Porthcurno West Cornwall
Porthgwarra Beach is a small, sandy beach nestling in a secluded cove. Most of the beach at high tide is reclaimed. A steep cobbled slipway runs down to a snug cove with a beach of sand flanked by sheer cliffs. The cliff on the eastern side is pierced by a tunnel, beyond which are dark granite rocks with low-tide pools. A huge hole in the headland just west of Porthgwarra drops the full height of the cliff, and the sea can be seen rushing in at the bottom. A small car park, toilets, cafe and shop are situated by the beach.
