This parish is the largest in Cornwall and the glory of the village is its huge Norman church, set in a hollow with a superb Norman doorway as its west front. St German's railway station was opened on 4th of May 1859 at the west end of St German's viaduct, 106 feet above the quay. It is notable for having the best preserved Cornish Railway station buildings.
